Tonight for Family Home Evening, Abby took on chocolate chip cookies + metric measurements. They tasted fine, and were a hit with Collin & Livy, but I think we might stick to fresh-baked chocolate croissants from now on. Happy Monday!
Holy cow, chocolate croissants? I think I melted inside a little with happiness. Good job, Abby, on your cookies, too! They look yummy! (I need more apartment pictures, stat.)
It is hard to tell in the picture but the cookies melted into a big blob on the pan before cooking. Not her fault, our oven has two control knobs but all the markings have been cleaned off. So we did our best guessing which setting was correct, we guessed wrong
Well done Abby! Will you keep track of some of your favorite recipes you try during your adventure? I'm sure you'll find some delicious and authentic ones. Have fun!
Way to go Abby!! Learning metrics and how to cook in an oven with no clear directions is quite a feat! Maybe you can try "no bake" cookies on the stove next time. :)
